The Purple Desk ProjectCampus Outreach

Building awareness, one campus at a time.

The Purple Desk Project aims to connect with the people and places that shape a student's experience — and to grow understanding of epilepsy in higher education together.

Who we hope to connect with

The communities that make a campus work.

Lasting awareness comes from working with the people already on the ground. These are the groups the project hopes to learn from and collaborate with.

Colleges & universities

Connecting with campuses interested in improving how they support students living with epilepsy.

Disability services offices

Collaborating with the offices that already work with students with epilepsy to strengthen awareness and resources.

Student organizations

Working with student groups to raise awareness and build community around epilepsy on campus.

Epilepsy advocacy groups

Partnering with established epilepsy organizations to share knowledge and avoid reinventing what already exists.

Where this is headed

Possibilities we're working toward.

The Purple Desk Project is early in its journey. These are the directions we're exploring — not programs that exist yet, but the work we hope to grow into.

Educational collaborations

Developing shared materials, workshops, and conversations with campuses and organizations that want to deepen understanding of epilepsy in higher education.

Campus awareness initiatives

Exploring ways to bring epilepsy awareness to campuses in a thoughtful, student-centered way — grounded in lived experience rather than slogans.

Resource development

Building out downloadable guides, templates, and educational materials for students and educators, shaped by the people who will actually use them.
